On Monday, September 13, Star + exclusively premieres the series “Y: The Last Man” with the first three episodes. Then, a new episode will be released every Monday.
Based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, "Y: The Last Man", consists of ten one-hour episodes and traverses a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysm decimates all mammals that have a Y chromosome, except Yorick Brown (Ben Schnetzer, "Goat") a man cisgender and her pet monkey.
The series is about the survivors in this new world and their struggle to restore what was lost and for the opportunity to build something better.
"Y: The Last Man" stars Diane Lane as "Congresswoman Jennifer Brown", Ashley Romans as "Agent 355", Ben Schnetzer as "Yorick Brown", Olivia Thrilby as "Hero Brown" and Amber Tamblyn as "Kimberly Cunningham Campbell".
Marin Ireland stars "Nora Brady", Diana Bang plays "Dr. Allison Mann", Elliot Fletcher becomes "Sam Jordan" and Juliana Canfield plays " Beth Deville".
All episodes of the season are directed by women and the production has assigned a significant number of female employees and department heads, including production designer, costume designer, casting director, editors and more.
Developed for television by Eliza Clark, who serves as showrunner and executive producer, along with Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson, Mari Jo Winkler-loffreda, Brian K Vaughan and Pía Guerra.

It received 3 Eisner Awards and was nominated for the first Hugo Awards for Best Graphic Story for "Y: The Last Man, Volume 10".
