The Weeknd fans, rejoice! The musician is teasing new music on the way.
After deleting all of his posts on social media, the 31-year-old singer took to his YouTube channel on Sunday night to share a snippet of his upcoming single.
The video, titled The Dawn Is Coming, features a two-minute sneak peek at the highly anticipated new song.
Though not much else is known about his forthcoming record, The Weeknd has been teasing an artistic reinvention for several months. During his acceptance speech at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, the crooner said that the "The After Hours are done, and the dawn is coming", referencing his acclaimed 2020 album.
His upcoming fifth LP will come a little over a year after the release of the highly successful After Hours, which broke the record for the most global pre-adds in Apple Music history with over 1.02 million users. The album also debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200.
After Hours was supported by four singles, "Heartless", "Blinding Lights", "In Your Eyes", and "Save Your Tears", three of which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
