The 31-year-old released the re-recording 2008 'Fearless' in 2021.
Sad news for Taylor Swift's fans! Swift's Fearless (Taylor's Version) won't be participating in the upcoming Grammys Awards! Her record label made the decision yesterday (July 20). Check out what they said here!
Swift is already an 11-time Grammy winner. This year, her studio album Folklore won the Album of The Year at the 2021 Grammys. Without a doubt, the "Willow" singer is one of the most successful singers of all time.
Fans wondered if the latest edition of their 2008 album, Fearless, was going to be considered for the upcoming Grammys and CMA Awards. Back in the past, the album has received many awards.
“After careful consideration, Taylor Swift will not be submitting Fearless (Taylor’s Version) in any category at this year’s upcoming Grammy and CMA Awards,” said a representative from Republic Records. “Fearless has already won four Grammys including album of the year, as well as the CMA Award for album of the year in 2009/2010 and remains the most awarded country album of all time.”
According to the statement, they want voters to focus on Swift's latest studio album Evermore than split their votes between two albums. Evermore came out after five months of Folkore and debuted No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Recently, Taylor revealed she'll be re-recording another iconic album of her career. See all the details here!
