The hollywood actress was heard in the streets of Pittsburgh, PA, protesting against Asian Hate
Sandra Oh is not only a good citizen but a proud woman of her asian ancestry. The hollywood star was seen in the streets of Pittsburgh, PA, manifesting herself along hundreds of people against the recent Asian Hate wave that has been surfacing since the shooting that took place in Georgia last week, were 8 people were shot and found dead at an asian spa.
The Academy award winner, gave an emotional speech where she manifested how proud she is to be Asian and also showed her support to the victim's families and everyone that has been a target of hate because of their Asian ancestry, saying trough a speaker:
"Pittsburgh, I am so happy and proud to be here with you, and thank you to all the organizers for organizing this just to give us an opportunity to be together and to stand together and to feel each other.
For many of us in our community, this is the first time we are even able to voice our fear and our anger, and I really am so grateful to everyone willing to listen."
She went on to say that if everyone gets together they will be able to help and stop racial discrimination, also adding that she understands their fear and is with them:
"I know many of us in our community are very scared, and I understand that. And one way to get through our fear is to reach out to our communities. I will challenge everyone here, if you see something will you help me?"
The actress had previously shared on her social media a message of support, asking people to join her and help spread awareness of Asian Hate.
