The 18-year-old singer's critically acclaimed debut album, which was released on May 21, has just hit the the number one spot on Billboard’s 200 charts with 295,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S.
Sour was precedeed by a trio of chart-topping earlier in 2021, including "Drivers License" and "Good 4 U", both reaching No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
According to Billboard, the record's debut is also the biggest week of 2021 for an album, surpassing Taylor Swift's Fearless (Taylor’s Version), which earned 291,000 units last month.
In addition, Sour hit another huge milestone, earning the second-largest streaming week for a non-R&B/hip-hop album and second-biggest for an album by a woman of any genre. Ariana Grande's Thank You, Next continues to hold the title with 307.07 million streams in its first week.
