The actress is expecting her first child with her husband, Cooke Maroney.
Jennifer Lawrence is now a mom-to-be! The 31-year-old actress' rep confirmed to People on Wednesday that she is expecting her first child with husband Cooke Maroney, an art gallery director.
The Hunger Games alum and Maroney first started dating in June 2018 and got engaged the following February. The couple tied the knot on October 19, 2019 in a large ceremony that featured several celebrity guests, including Emma Stone, Kris Jenner, Adele and Amy Schumer.
The wedding took place at the luxurious Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island, which was designed in 1894 by American architect Richard Morris Hunt. The estate, inspired by Louis XIII's hunting lodge at Versailles, is currently home to Alex and Ani CEO Carolyn Rafaelian.
Prior to Maroney, Lawrence was in a four-year relationship with her X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult from 2010 to 2014. She later began dating director Darren Aronofsky, whom she met while working together on 2016's Mother!, though their romance only lasted a little over a year.
Although Lawrence is known for being tight-lipped about her personal life, the Oscar winner got candid about her relationship while speaking to Catt Sadler on the Naked with Catt Sadler podcast in 2019, calling Maroney "the greatest human being I've ever met."
"He really is, and he gets better", Lawrence said at the time.
When asked about her reasons for marrying the art dealer, the Silver Linings Playbook star replied, "I don't know, I started with the basics: 'How do I feel? Is he nice? Is he kind?'"
"It's just — this is the one, I know that sounds really stupid but he's just, he's — you know. He's the greatest person I've ever met, so I feel very honored to become a Maroney", she added.
Besides preparing for motherhood, Lawrence has been super busy working on Don't Look Up, her upcoming film alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. The highly-anticipated movie, directed by Adam McKay, also includes a star-studded cast that features the likes of Timothée Chalamet, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep and even Ariana Grande.
In case you missed it, this celebrity became a mother earlier this week!
