"When you've been locked up for a hundred hours, or you've been chained to death and lost your best friend, those hundred hours seem like a hundred years to you," reads the trailer for the new season, where we see the crafty 'Professor' finally fall into the claws of the police.
"We are against the ropes", the character of the detective Raquel Murillo, later turned into the thief 'Lisbon', is heard saying, who joins the clan.
"We will fight to the end" is the mantra of this season with which the story ends. This last season of the series will be divided into two parts. The first premieres today September 3, and the second, will arrive on Netflix on December 3.
The new chapters will be full of action and show the outcome of the robbery of the Bank of Spain.
"When we began to write Part 5 in the midst of a pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected of a ten-episode season and we tried by all means to generate a feeling of a season finale or series finale in that first volume. We decided to work in an extreme war genre and put La Banda on the ropes. In volume 2, we focus more on the emotionality of the characters, it is a journey through their sentimental map that connects us directly with the farewell ", revealed Álex Pina, creator of the series about its expected end.
"The gang has been locked up in the Bank of Spain for more than 100 hours, they have managed to rescue Lisbon but are experiencing one of their worst moments after having lost one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, not has a plan to escape. When it seems that nothing can get worse, a new enemy will arrive, much more powerful than any of the previous ones: the army. The end of the greatest robbery in history is near and what began as a robbery now it will become a war ", says the official synopsis of this last part of the series.
The endearing characters of Tokio (played by Úrsula Corberó), Rio (Miguel Herrán), Dénver (Jaime Lorente) and Stockholm (Mónica Gaztambide) return to the small screen.
