The former couple began dating in 2016 and tied the knot in 2018 during an intimate ceremony in California.
Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook are officially going their separate ways. On Friday, the 35-year-old actress filed for divorce in the Los Angeles Superior Court. That same day, the former couple announced their split after three years of marriage.
"Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions", the pair said in a joint statement. "We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together. There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary."
"We have made this decision together through an immense amount of respect and consideration for one another and request that you do the same in understanding that we will not be sharing any additional details or commenting further", they added.
The Flight Attendant alum and Cook, who are both avid equestrians, began dating in 2017 and got engaged on Cuoco's birthday the following year. The two tied the knot in June 2018 in a small ceremony at a horse stable near San Diego, California with family and close friends in attendance.
Earlier this year, Cuoco and Cook celebrated their third wedding anniversary with adorable tributes on their respective Instagram accounts.
"NY, June 30th, 2016 is the year we met", the star wrote alongside a black-and-white throwback photo of them in New York City. "2 years to the day before we got married and now 3 years married! Why have you stayed married to me for so long?! I'm sincerely impressed @mrtankcook lol I love you oh so much you have no idea…happy anniversary!!!"
For his part, Cook wrote, "I agree @kaleycuoco I am just as amazed it's been three years, feel like just a flash. I love you so much and I can't wait for a million more years!!"
In case you missed it, Cuoco recently opened up about her first kiss!
