The singer hasn't graced the VMAs stage since 2015.
Justin Bieber is back on the MTV stage! On Wednesday, the cable channel announced that the 27-year-old singer will be performing at the 2021 VMAs for the first time in six years. Bieber is also up for seven awards, including Video of the Year and Artist of the Year.
The last time that the hitmaker — who dropped his sixth studio album Justice in March — graced the VMAs stage was in 2015, when he performed his hit song "What Do You Mean?"
The upcoming awards show, which will air live from New York City on September 12, is also set to include epic performances from an array of superstars such as Camila Cabello, Machine Gun Kelly, Olivia Rodrigo, and Lorde.
In addition, Kacey Musgraves is set to make her VMAs debut at this year's ceremony, taking the stage for a never-before-heard rendition of her new song, "Star-Crossed." MTV also revealed that it will air the exclusive premiere of the singer's music video for "Justified", the second track of her upcoming fourth studio album, which is set to be released on September 10.
Additionally, Doja Cat will also be serving as this year's host. The 25-year-old songstress was previously announced as a performer and is also nominated in five categories, including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year for her collaboration with SZA, "Kiss Me More".
The MTV VMAs will air live from the Barclays Center in New York City on Sunday, September 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
