Via their social media accounts, Israel acccused Bella Hadid and other celebrities of advocating "the elimination of the Jewish state."
Supermodel Bella Hadid participated in the demonstrations against the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in New York and made a series of posts in her social media accounts supporting Palestine by the escalation of war actions in Gaza.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is close to Bella's heart because of her Palestinian heritage (her father, Mohamed Hadid, is Palestinian).
“The way my heart feels... To be around this many beautiful, smart, respectful, loving, kind and generous Palestinians all in one place… it feels whole! We are a rare breed!!” Bella wrote on her IG. “It’s free Palestine til Palestine is free!!! P.s. The Palestinian drip is real. #FreePalestine,” she wrote.
In this context, where international celebrities such as the 24-year-old model, Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo or Riz Ahmed spoke publicly about the international conflict, the official account of the state of Israel criticized them harshly emphasizing the public participations of the former Victoria's Secret angel and accused certain public figures of anti-Semitism.
"When celebrities like @BellaHadid advocate for throwing Jews into the sea, they are advocating for the elimination of the Jewish State. This shouldn't be an Israeli-Palestinian issue. This should be a human issue," the official Israel account wrote.
