After the court approved Britney Spears to hire her own lawyer in conservatorship case, the 39-year-old popstar thanked her fans via Instagram and addressed the #FreeBritney movement!
After Britney Spears was granted permission to hire her own lawyer, Matthew S. Rosengart -who is expected to take a more aggressive approach and push for the conservatorship to end-, the 39-year-old popstar thanked her fans for their support via Instagram, and even addressed the #FreeBritney movement!
During yesterday's (July 14) hearing, where the judge approved Britney's new lawyer, the singer said some more things about her conservatorship, and about her dad, Jamie Spears, via telephone. “I am here, I want to make clear who I want as my own lawyer, I want to get rid of my dad, and I want to petition to end the conservator," she stated.
At the end of the hearing, Judge Brenda Penny ended by noting that everybody should be working collaboratively to help Britney. The next hearing was set for late September.
After a busy day at court, the popstar took to Instagram to thank her fans and the Free Britney movement, with a video of her riding a horse and doing her already iconic flips and turns.
"Coming along, folks ... coming along !!!!! New with real representation today ... I feel GRATITUDE and BLESSED !!!! Thank you to my fans who are supporting me," Britney wrote, "You have no idea what it means to me be supported by such awesome fans !!!! God bless you all !!!!! Pssss this is me celebrating by horseback riding and doing cartwheels today !!!! #FreeBritney."
Yesterday, Britney recieved the support of her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, who commented on the post and shared a #FreeBritney sticker on his Instagram Stories. "Internet is about to explode #freebritney," he wrote. Celebs such as Paulina Rubio and Ariana Grande also showed her their support.
