At the 1-year anniversary of George Floyd's death, President Biden received his family

The victim's family said President Joe Biden & Vice President Kamala Harris showed "genuine" concern for the situation. 

On the one-year anniversary of George Floyd's death, the victim's family was received by President Joe Biden & Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House last Tuesday (May 25).

Let's remember George Floyd was killed by former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin on 2020, who was found guilty of his murder on April 2021. George Floyd's killing sparked worldwide protests against racial injustice and police brutality.

George's family said both the President and Vice President showed "genuine" concern and care for their situation.

"It was great. He's a genuine guy," Philonise Floyd, George's brother, said, "They always speak from the heart and it's a pleasure just to be able to have the chance to meet with him [Biden] when we have the opportunity to." George's brothers Philonise, Rodney and Terrence, as well as his nephew Brandon were all present during the meeting.
