The couple welcomed their second child together on Friday, June 4.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter is named after two of the most important women in Harry's life.
The 36-year-old Duke and 39-year-old Duchess of Sussex announced the birth of their second child on Sunday. The couple named the baby girl Lilibet Diana and plan to use the nickname "Lili".
Lilibet is a tribute to Queen Elizabeth, Harry's grandmother, who was affectionally called Lilibet as a child by her family members. Diana, on the other hand, honors the late Princess Diana, Harry's beloved mother who tragically died in a car accident in 1997.
Harry and Meghan welcomed Lilibet on Friday, June 4.
"Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz. Both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home", the pair shared in a statement.
"Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales."
The couple, who also share son two-year-old son Archie, confirmed they were expecting their second child together earlier this year.
