The couple welcomed their first child together in August 2020.
Katy Perry is a proud mother! In a new interview with LVR Magazine, the 36-year-old singer candidly spoke about her motherhood journey and the experience of parenting her 1-year-old daughter Daisy with fiancée Orlando Bloom.
"I was grateful for the opportunity to be present. I mean, I still would have been, but I would have had FOMO scratching at me just a hot bit", Perry said of welcoming her daughter amid the pandemic. "Not really, though. She is everything I was ever looking for."
The songstress also said that she tries to be around Bloom as much as possible, even as he shoots season 2 of Carnival Row in Prague.
"We visit him a lot, and I love carrying her on me or going for walks all day with the stroller", shared Perry, who is currently serving as a judge on Americal Idol in the U.S. "She points at things and says 'da,' to which I say, 'yes, that is a cat,' or 'that is a tree.'"
Describing Daisy, the hitmaker said she's "adaptable and happy" — which makes her life a lot easier.
"Her schedule fluctuates. In the beginning, I worried about a schedule but decided I won't be that mom. All that matters is that everyone is happy", she explained and added that she loves having the "opportunity to do [parenting] in a way that one hopes it was done for them, maybe better. I don't know if anyone gets it right."
Perry announced her pregnancy in the music video for "Never Born White" in March 2020. She and Bloom welcomed Daisy in late August, two days before the release of her sixth studio album, Smile.
