The rapper was last romantically linked to Ashley Benson and previously dated Halsey.
G-Eazy is finding a silver lining. In a new interview with People, the 32-year-old rapper opened up about the things that some of his highly-publicized relationships have taught him, revealing that he's "grown" from those experiences.
"You live and you learn. And theoretically at least, you grow from your experiences and you hopefully learn from your mistakes, or the heartbreak and the hurt", he told the magazine.
G-Eazy, whose real name is Gerald Earl Gillum, also said that everything he's been through in his personal life has helped him determine what he wants for his next relationship —both from himself and his future partner.
"It helps you identify certain qualities you need out of a partner, where things have gone wrong in the past, where things have gone right, but also how to be a better partner myself", he said. "I need to listen and work to be what somebody else needs as well. And that's very essential."
The hitmaker is no stranger to dating in the spotlight and the scrutiny that comes with it: he began dating Ashley Benson in March 2020, days after her split from Cara Delevigne. However, their relationship didn't last and the pair broke up in February.
G-Eazy previously dated Halsey, with whom he collaborated on the song "Him & I", from 2017 to July 2018. Although they later rekindled their relationship, the pair ended things for good that September.
The new interview comes soon after G-Eazy dropped his fourth studio album, These Things Happen Too, on September 25. He previously released the first single off the LP, "Breakdown", which features Demi Lovato.
