Demi Lovato talks about recreating her overdose for music video

The singer recently opened up about her experience of reliving her drug overdose for upcoming music video 

Demi Lovato recently released her new single Dancing With The Devil which now has a music video. For the artistic piece she had to relive the day when she overdose during 2018 and expressed that it wasn't the easiest thing to do. Lovato has been sharing her recovery path after the accident that almost took her life, on a new You Tube docuseries with the same name. 

For the music video, which premiered on Friday, the singer recreated the moments leading up to, during and after her overdose, wore similar hair and makeup as well as a green jacket close to the one she wore that night. The artist published a post on her personal Instagram account saying how hard it had been to shoot the video and the behind aspect of it that inspired her to share her story:

"Creating the music video for #DancingWithTheDevil was not the easiest shoot I’ve ever done…  I create my art to heal, and to inspire others. I’m here today and I’m happy you are too."

The video was directed by Michael D. Ratner, who has been the one in charge to show Demi's story on her You Tube series.
