The Cravings author announced in December that she had decided to quit drinking.
Chrissy Teigen is enjoying the sober lifestyle. On Saturday, the 35-year-old cookbook author took to Instagram to celebrate 50 days of sobriety, sharing a video of herself attempting to work out alongside son Miles and daughter Luna, whom she shares with husband John Legend.
"Today is my 50 day sobriety streak", she began in her lengthy post. "It should be nearly a year but I had a few (wine) hiccups in the road. This is my longest streak yet! I still dunno if I'll never drink again but I do know it no longer serves me in ANY way.
"I don't get more fun, I don't dance, I don't get relaxed. I get sick, fall asleep and wake up sick, having missed what was probably a fun night. I had my fun with it and appreciate anyone that can enjoy it responsibly", Teigen continued.
"This is also my third day this week working out which is unheard of for me, and my bears are notttt making it easy but loving @movewithnicole on YouTube!", she added.
Back in December 2020, Teigen revealed that she decided to quit drinking following the death of her third son Jack in September. At the time, she explained that she had been trying to stay sober ever since reading Quit Like a Woman — gifted to her by Holly Whitaker, the author.
However, the former model admitted last month that she still feels the temptation to drink.
"I don't really feel like I fully processed Jack and now that I don't have the alcohol to numb it away, things are just… there, waiting to be acknowledged", Teigen wrote in part while reflecting on the past year. "I guess what I'm saying here is life is so f—ing complicated."
