The actress turned 25 on Wednesday.
For Zendaya, the hustle never stops — not even on her birthday! On Wednesday, the actress celebrated her 25th birthday while working on the set of Euphoria, which is back filming after production was delayed due to COVID-related reasons.
Zendaya, who stars in the acclaimed HBO drama as Rue, gave fans a glimpse into her on-set birthday celebrations by sharing on her Instagram Stories a clip of herself lying in bed with Storm Reid, who plays Rue's younger sister Gia.
"Bday shooting with this lil one...I think she's out forreal @stormreid", she wrote as the video showed Reid resting next to her with her eyes closed, seemingly asleep. The former Disney star also shared a selfie posing with the 18-year-old actress as she slept beside her. "It's the method acting for me", she wrote over the image.
Euphoria premiered in 2019 and it focuses on the lives of a group of high school students as they grapple with issues of drugs, sex and violence. The series focuses on the relationship between two young girls trying to find their place in the world: recovering addict Rue (Zendaya) and new-in-town Jules (Hunter Schafer).
Soon after its debut, HBO announced that the teen drama would be renewed for a second season. Earlier this year, Zendaya opened up about the show's upcoming season, revealing that it's going to be "difficult".
"It's gonna be hard and it's gonna be devastating sometimes, but I think Rue really deserves all of that care when it comes to her character, because I think she represents a lot for so many people", she told Teen Vogue at the time. "And I hope to make those people proud with our depictions of Rue [and] where all the characters go. I think this season's not going to be easy, though. It's not going to be a fun watch, I think."
In case you missed it, Zendaya received a super sweet birthday message from her Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star and rumored boyfriend, Tom Holland. Check it out here!
