Grande married Dalton Gomez in an intimate ceremony on May 15.
Elizabeth Gillies is sharing the reason why she skipped her friend and fellow Victorious alum Ariana Grande's wedding.
On Wednesday, the 27-year-old actress made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live!, where she opened up to host Andy Cohen about she didn't make it to the 28-year-old singer's big day.
"I could not get off of work to go to her wedding because we would have to be cleared for like seven days to fly. So not only could I not tell anybody, but I also couldn't even ask for the day off and I couldn't get the day off", she said. "I would've been there."
Grande tied the knot to husband Dalton Gomez on May 15 in a small and intimate ceremony at the singer's house in California. According to several outlets, there were only 20 people in attendance.
Gillies and Grande first met when they starred together on the beloved Nickelodeon series Victorious alongside Victoria Justice. The show ran for four seasons between 2010 and 2013.
Back in 2015, Gillies revealed to People that she and Grande had remained close friends since the show's ending.
"She's like blood to me; she's like my sister. So unless we have a massive falling out, nothing will be happening there", she said at the time. "We lived together, I've known her since what feels like the beginning of time, but really it's been seven years since all this started."
