"This is what eating disorder recovery looks like", the singer wrote in an inspiring post
Demi Lovato has been very vocal when it comes to coping with eating disorders, the body-positive movement and mental health. So it wasn't surprising -but yet very inspiring- when we saw her recent post in which she talked about her recovery from eating disorders and how to cope with them during quarantine due to the pandemic of COVID-19.
"I used to genuinely believe recovery from an eating disorder wasn’t real. That everyone was faking or secretly relapsing behind closed doors", the 27-year-old singer wrote. But then she made it clear that she now believes one can recover from eating disorders just as she did: "My dietitian looked at me and said 'This is what eating disorder recovery looks like'".

So to honor how far she's come, Lovato shared a shoot she did by herself during the summer while in quarantine. "I wanted to celebrate my stretch marks instead of being ashamed of them", the singer wrote.
Also she hopes her words help others that are struggling as a reminder that recovery is possible, even through this hard year. "Be gentle on yourself if you slip up and remember to get right back on track because you’re WORTH THE MIRACLE OF RECOVERY I LOVE YOU ✨", Lovato concluded.
