The actresses met in 2003.
Nikki Reed is getting honest about her rivalry with one of her co-stars.
During a recent appearance on the Story + Rain Talks podcast, the actress revealed that she and Evan Rachel Wood, who starred opposite her in the film Thirteen, didn't speak for years.
"We were too young to realize this at the time, but there were a lot of people that were kind of pitting us against each other, and making it a competitive atmosphere", Reed said of their feud. "Which, now, in hindsight, I'm like, 'Of course, because isn't that the recipe for how [to] treat all young women in this industry?'"
The pair first met on the set of the 2003 teen drama, which was co-written by Reed and loosely based on her life. Their performances launched both of their careers, but the stars had a complicated relationship up until their early 20s, when Reed reached out to Wood.
The actresses later met in person and unpacked all those years of friction. According to Reed, the two are "so close now".
