Lil Nas X fires back at 'negative energy' over his pregnancy photoshoot!

The rapper celebrated the upcoming release of his album Montero with an over-the-top maternity shoot.

Lil Nas X is clapping back at the haters, once again. On Thursday, the 22-year-old rapper celebrated the upcoming release of his debut album, Montero, with a hilarious maternity shoot. While many fans praised him for his creativity, he also had to deal with tons of hate.

A Twitter user wrote that they were tired of the singer and called him ugly, to which Lil Nas replied with his signature sense of humor. "You really on here calling a young mother to be ugly?", he tweeted.

Another claimed that he goes from "one outlandish antic to the next" and that "you will never see a white, Asian, Hispanic or Arab equivalent to him in the entertainment industry" because they wouldn't "tolerate" his stunts.

"one day y'all will learn i am not a representation of anyone but lil nas x", the Grammy winner fired back.

Lil Nas continued responding to several comments but eventually asked everyone to let him go offline because "all of this negative energy is not good for the baby", and procedeed to retweet some messages of support from his fans.

During a recent interview with People, the singer revealed that he came up with the idea for the photoshoot after hearing Megan Thee Stallion's verse on his song "Dolla Sign Slime" for the first time.

"I was like, 'Oh my God, this is amazing,' so I immediately called my stylist," he recalled. "She was like, 'Wow, this all comes together. Your album. Your baby.' I was like, 'Yeah, this is my baby, huh?' As a joke, she was like, 'Yeah, you should do a pregnancy shoot.'"

"I was like, 'You know what? That's actually brilliant,'" he continued. "So now we have this entire thing coming out, and it's going to be amazing."

Earlier this week, Lil Nas announced the official tracklist for his highly-anticipated album, which drops on September 17. Montero features appearances from several of music's biggest names. Click here to learn more!
