Emma Stone addresses the rumors that she's returning as Gwen Stacy in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'

The star responded to the rumors during a recent interview with MTV News.

Emma Stone is reacting to rumors about Spider-Man 3: No Way Home.

In a recent interview with MTV News, the actress —who played Gwen Stacy in the 2012 adaptation— addressed the rumors that she would be reprising her role in the upcoming third installment of the franchise.

"I have heard those rumors", she said. "I don’t know if I’m supposed to say anything, but I’m not [involved].”I’m not. I don’t know what you’re supposed to respond as an alumnus."

Spider-Man: Now Way Home is a follow-up to Spider-Man: Far From Home and will feature future appearances from numerous characters within the Spider-Man universe.

While it was confirmed that Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina were set to return as Electro and Doc Ock, respectively, fans also expected Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to make cameos in the upcoming film.

Much like his The Amazing Spider-Man co-star, Garfield also denied the rumors that he would be making an appearance in the new film.
