The slim shady rapper recently expressed his regret about a rap where he favored Chriss Brown
In Eminem's new song Zeuz, the singer apologizes to Rihanna for lyrics of an old song where he sided with Chriss Brown after he was accused of physical abuse agaings the singer. The song was leaked during 2019 but the rapper says not having any recollection of having said such things.
In Zeuz he says: “But, me, long as I re-promise to be honest / And wholeheartedly, apologies, Rihanna,” For that song that leaked, I’m sorry, Ri / It wasn’t meant to cause you grief. Regardless, it was wrong of me.”
The reason why he says he didn't remember singing those lines was because at that time, 2009, he was learning again how to rap after having serious drug problems. Stating that if the lines rhymed he would just simply sing them without thinking too much about it. Something that he deeply regrets now as went on saying:
“I’m not making excuses for it: I said it and I was wrong for saying that, it was fucking stupid. That’s not even an excuse, but I’m just saying that there was a phase I was going through with that ‘Relapse’ record. It was one of those things. I think I just said it cause it rhymed. Looking back now, I should have thought better of it.”
