DaBaby gets dropped by several festivals amid his homophobic comments & public apology!

After his homophobic and sexist remarks, the 29-year-old rapper was dropped from several festivals, including Lollapalooza in Chicago last weekend.

DaBaby's sexist and homophobic remarks are still having consequences in the rapper's musical career! The last few days, the 29-year-old rapper has been under the spotlight after he made some horrific comments about people living with HIV and AIDS during his Rolling Loud performance in Miami.

Not only the rapper's comments were repudiated by Brazilian singer Anitta, Dua Lipa, and Madonna, among others, but he also was dropped by a fashion brand and several music festivals, such as Lollapalooza, the Day N Vegas music festival, and the New York City Governors Ball.

His performance in the Las Vegas festival was replaced by Roddy Rich’s, and the NYC festival annnounced that they dropped the rapper one day after he was dropped from the Chicago festival, "We welcome and celebrate the diverse communities that make New York City the greatest city in the world," they wrote in an official statement.

All this is happening although the rapper has issued his second apology statement via Instagram, stating that "social media moves so fast people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate and learn from your mistakes."

However, and while the rapper seems to have reflected on his comments and actions, he had situations that allowed him to apologize for what he did but, instead, used them to make it worse justifying himself and portraying himself as the victim

"As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me -knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance- has been challenging," he added. You can read the full statement here!
