The former model lost her third child in September 2020 at 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Chrissy Teigen is opening up about grieving her late son Jack, revealing that it's a process that continues to this day.
On Sunday, the 35-year-old cookbook author reflecting on losing Jack last year as she shared a photo of herself and husband John Legend having dinner in a New York restaurant. "Just reminiscing about New York a lot lately, when things were simple, thinking about all the stuff I've done and been through not just this year but in my life", she began in her caption.
"I'm slightly down lately. It kind of started when I was thinking of my book caption and typed out 'my third baby is here!!' as in cookbook, then realized my third baby will never be here", Teigen continued, adding:
"Then I realized I threw myself into the book to not think of the real, actual third baby. I don't really feel like I fully processed Jack and now that I don't have the alcohol to numb it away, things are just…there, waiting to be acknowledged. I guess what I'm saying here is life is so f—ing complicated. And get the lasagna??? Wow this was a rollercoaster!!!!!"
Last weekend, Teigen revealed that she dedicated her third cookbook, Cravings: All Together: Recipes To Love, to Jack. The book hits shelves on October 12.
In September 2020, the former model and Legend — who are parents to son Miles and daughter Luna, born via IVF — revealed that they had lost their third child at 20 weeks of pregnancy. Teigen, who suffers from endometriosis, was then hospitalized due to excessive bleeding.
