Despite loving her racy lyrics, there's lines the singer won't cross!
Cardi B is known for her bubbly personality and her explicit lyrics, but that doesn't mean she shares that part of her art with her daughter Kulture.
The 28-year-old rapper was singing along to her 2020 hit song "WAP" in a fresh Instagram Live video, when her two-year-old daughter burst into the room. Cardi B turned off the song straight away, while saying "no, no, no" and sipping her wine.
Unfortunately, the rapper recieved backlash from some people on social media that felt she was being 'hypocritical'. For example, one Twitter user wrote "So ya daughter cant listen to it but everybody else's daughter can? @iamcardib". Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, didn't held back and replied to the comment stating that her music was aimed at adults, not children.
This is not the first time the New York rapper faces criticism for her music. In fact, Cardi B found herself defending "WAP" during an interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show and noted that her music was intended to empower women. "When you make a woman feel like she's the baddest b**ch in the room, to me, that's female empowerment", the rapper said.
