Zendaya isn't attending this year's Met Gala — More details here!

The actress cited a scheduling conflict with production for season 2 of 'Euphoria' as her reason for skipping the event.

Zendaya won't be among the attendees at this year's Met Gala! During a recent joint interview with her Dune co-star, Timothée Chalamet, the 25-year-old actress revealed that she won't make it to the event due to a conflict in schedule related to Euphoria's season 2 production.

"I will be on Euphoria. My fans are going to be very upset with me", said Zendaya while speaking to Extra TV. "I will unfortunately not be able to attend because I'll be working for Euphoria. I got my time off to come here and do this Venice [Film Festival] experience, which has been really, really special."

The Emmy winner also said that she's bummed out about missing the Met Gala "especially since this fashion icon is going to be hosting", referencing Chalamet

In addition to the Call Me By Your Name star, co-chairs for the anticipated fashion event will include Naomi Osaka, Billie Eilish and Amanda Gorman. According to Vogue, this year's Met Gala will celebrate "all things American fashion."

The official theme for the star-studded ball, which comes after a coronavirus-related cancellation last year and a postponed May date, is In America: A Lexicon of Fashion

Zendaya and Chalamet have also been super busy working on their upcoming film, which is set to be released in late October after being pushed back for the third time. Dune, directed by Denis Villeneuve and adapted from the 1965 novel by Frank Herbert, was initially slated for November, 2020 but was moved to December.

The project was then delayed almost an entire year to October 1, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic before being moved once again, this time to October 22. According to several outlets, the decision came to avoid competition with No Time To Die, which opens on October 8.
