Actress Christina Applegate, who will turn 50 in November, told her fans that she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis

Christina Applegate, the remembered "Married with Children" actress, revealed to her followers through her Twitter account that she suffers from multiple sclerosis.

"Hello friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. It has been a strange journey. But I have been supported a lot by other people who I know who also suffer from this disease," she wrote.

She continued: "It's been a tough road. But as we all know, the road continues unless some jerk gets in the way". The actress also asked for privacy from now on and thanked her followers.

The artist, who will turn 50 in November, rose to fame with her role as Kelly in the television comedy "Married with children" (1987-1997).

Christina Applegate's career has been mostly focused on television with series like "Samantha Who?" (2007-2009) and the recent "Dead to Me", which premiered in 2019 and will culminate in its third season.

The actress won an Emmy for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy for her appearance on "Friends" (1994-2004) as one of Rachel's (Jennifer Aniston) sisters.

On the big screen, Applegate has participated in comedy films such as "The Sweetest Thing" (2002), "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" (2004), "Vacation" (2015) and "Bad Mothers" (2016).
