The Kardashian-Jenner clan's member paid tribute to the Pop princess with one of her most remembered dresses
Kourtney Kardashian wore the same iconic minidress that Britney wore 20 years ago at the MTV Video Music Awards, and she looked AWESOME.
On Tuesday, September 7, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star blew everyone away in the legendary black dress from Dolce & Gabbana's 2001 collection.
As for the piece itself, it is simple and seductive as it is made entirely of lace. From the long sleeves to the bodice, the peek-a-boo material certainly leaves little to the imagination.
Like Britney, Kourtney paired the striking dress with black lingerie. However, the founder of Poosh made this look her own by adding thigh-high lace stockings and black pumps with silver stud embellishments.
The reality TV star showed off her flair on Instagram, captioning the post, "@dolcegabbana circa 2001".
In recent weeks, Kourtney sported the clothes of the luxury brand. Last month, she and Travis Barker flew to Italy for a romantic getaway, where they dressed to impress at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show.
His ravishing style wasn't the only thing worth swooning over, as the two lovebirds had a vacation filled with many displays of affection.
At this time, it is unknown if Kourtney revived Britney's memorable look to show her support as the singer fights for her freedom. However, it is clear that Kourtney's stylist Dani Michelle paid tribute to the pop star.
On Instagram, with a photo of Kourtney in the D&G dress, Dani wrote, "Free Britney".
Coincidentally, just hours after the stylist shared the post, Britney appears to be one step closer to ending her decades-long conservatorship.
On September 7, Britney's father, Jamie Spears, who has served as guardian of her estate since 2008, filed a petition asking Los Angeles Judge Brenda Penny to decide whether or not to release his daughter from conservatorship. Britney's next court hearing is scheduled for September 29.
