Pride Month: These 5 popstars are our favorite gay pride icons!

Whether it's because of their sexual orientation or because of the LGBTQI+ community's love for the artist, these pop singers are our favorite gay pride icons.

Miley Cyrus, Ricky Martin & Madonna! These pop stars are amongst our favorite 5 gay pride icons. Let's enjoy this #PrideMonth listening to our favorite artists:

1. Lady Gaga

Through her messages of self-love and acceptance, the 35-year-old pop singer helps all her "Little Monsters" feel confident with themselves and embrace their differences, which makes every one of us unique!

During this Pride Month, Lady Gaga also launched her new #PrideMonth merch by Versace, as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of her self-love anthem, "Born This Way."

2. Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus not only identifies herself as queer, fluid, and pansexual, but the 28-year-old popstar also founded in 2014 the Happy Hippie Foundation, an organization that works to fight injustice, focusing on homelessness and LGBTQ rights.

3. Ricky Martin

The 49-year-old Puerto Rican singer & sex symbol is one of the greatest gay pride icons in the world! Recently, during an interview for People's Pride Issue, Ricky Martin opened up about sexuality and the importance of LGBTQ mentorship in adolescents.

"There are many, many kids out there that don't have someone to look up to. All they have around them is people telling them, 'What you're feeling is evil.'" he said, "But, you can't force someone to come out. But if you have an egg and you open it from the outside, only death comes out. But if the egg opens up from the inside, life comes out."

4. Madonna

Madonna's one of the greatest gay pride icons in the world! During the AIDS crisis in the US, the 62-year-old pop queen used her platform to raise her voice and spread messages of acceptance and empowerment through her pop anthems.

5. Cher

The LGBTQ community always saw the Godess of Pop as an icon! After years of focusing on movies and soft rock, the 75-year-old pop icon released her gay pride anthem, "Believe", inn 1998 and achieved the biggest record of her career.
